An operator was severely injured by pieces of exploding die from a 100-ton hydraulic press.

Solution

Stronghold determined this injury could have been prevented and future risks could be reduced with a Hydraulic Press Ejection Curtain. Implementing the new curtain allowed the machine's operator to see the pressing action in order to perform jobs appropriately and safely. This solution gave operators easy access for set up and any changes that needed to be made throughout the work day.
