Use this interlocked safety shield on lathe chucks, balancers, rotating shafts, or flywheels. This is a versatile safety shield that includes a built-in electrical interlock switch. The gas strut (gas spring) behaves similarly to that of a car tailgate strut. It will keep the guard in its open position and prevent the guard from falling.
