Challenge

While sanding a part, an operator's glove became entangled with the sandpaper. Although the operator dislocated his elbow, he was able to avoid a more serious injury because a nearby coworker was able to stop the machine.

Solution

Stronghold recognized the need to reduce the risk of entanglement. By implementing a sanding belt holder for lathes, Stronghold made this hands-on machine much safer for operators.
