The Project Site Superintendent directs the activities of the field personnel working to complete the remediation of the customer's processing and production equipment including factory personnel, fabricators and electrical and mechanical subcontractors. The Site Superintendent works closely with and under the direction of the Project Manager (PM).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate effectively with Stronghold's PM and operations team, the designated customer representative, factory personnel and subcontracted vendors.
Participate in weekly Stronghold production meetings to understand project requirements, deadlines and implement scheduled tasks per the pre-defined and approved Scope of Work.
Conduct daily work crew meetings onsite with customer personnel and subcontractors to include:
- Discuss safety procedures and pre-task planning
- Coordinate applicable permits for Hot Work, Confined Space, etc.
- Ensure proper coordination of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Review previous day's activity and collect time logs
- Set direction and measurable goals for the current day's activities
- Update machine status and sign-off projections
- Review material status and resource needs
- Plan for accomplishing weekly goals and meeting project deadlines
Promptly notify the PM of any anticipated work delays, requested changes to the Scope of Work and any other customer or vendor issues/concerns.
Receive and review materials, tools and equipment at the customer site. Submit packing slips and other documentation to the Accounting Department.
Monitor quality control and general workmanship with regard to all applicable standards.
Provide a written daily report to the PM summarizing the day's activities and other pertinent information.
Pre-qualify machines and prepare sign-off documentation with the assistance of the PM. Conduct final inspection of each machine to obtain the customer's signature and confirmation of project completion.
Represent Stronghold as a main point of contact at the customer's facility, maintaining a high level of professionalism and positive attitude.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge of OSHA machine safety compliance in industrial manufacturing settings.
Proven supervisory skills and experience in managing schedules, tasks, quality and deadlines with customer operations' crews and subcontracted trade personnel including fabricators, electricians and mechanical installers.
Strong technical aptitude and experience with industrial machines and tools. Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematics. May perform installation tasks as required.
Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Project a plus.
Organized, self-motivated, driven to succeed and a problem-solver.
Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with individuals at all organizational levels.
50-75% travel in the United States, Canada and Mexico required for this position
